Upside Down Or Backwards Sheltering Tree

Have you ever put a Photopolymer Stamp on the block upside down? And then stamped with it? Don't feel bad if you did! One of the presenters (I can't remember who it was) at Leadership in 2015 shared a card she made by doing just that! It looked so cool! I got a picture of it and then forgot about it. But I was going through my old pictures and deleting ones of stamps that have been retired and found it again! So I had to make one to share:

Colors: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Marina Mist, Whisper White

I put the leaves stamp on my block upside down so the leaves were against the block and I inked up the back side. I stamped it off and then stamped on my card stock. I think if I were to do it again I would use a lighter shade of green for this part so the leaves show up more. Other than that I like it!

Sprinkles On Top Birthday

Going through the retiring list has inspired me, so I'm stamping just for fun! Here's a cute birthday card that uses the retiring Sprinkles On Top stamp set and Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper:

What The Retiring List Looks Like To Me

I thought I'd share what "my" retiring list looks like. I printed it and highlighted all of the things I own that are being retired:

Page 6 hurts! Tools- punches, dies, framelits, embossing folders, etc.

My retiring stamp sets

My retiring punches.

Ouch!

But that means there will be lots of new stuff in the next catalog!

WOOHOO!

How To Make A Mini Album From A Sheet Of 12x12 Card Stock

I signed up to do a demonstration at our Stamp Share this month and wanted to do something different. I usually just make cards- not much for 3D things. So I perused Pinterest and found a mini album made from 1 sheet of 12x12 card stock. I tried it, and decided to make mine with a little twist. I didn't add ribbon to hold it all together to be an album. I made it so it opens into a banner! Check it out...

The finished project, with a belly band to hold it together

The belly band off

Ta da! A Happy Birthday Banner. It doesn't open completely because of the way 3 of the folds are.

Close up of the first part

How the card stock looks after it's scored and cut, before it's folded up.

DIRECTIONS: Score a 12 x 12" piece of card stock at 3", 6", and 9" in both directions so you end up with a grid of 16 squares. Use your Stampin' Trimmer to cut on the 3" and 9" vertical lines down to the 9" horizontal line, Cut the 6" vertical line from the bottom up to the 3" horizontal line. Hopefully I explained that OK! Look at the picture above to see how it should be cut. Don't cut all the way or you'll end up with strips! 3 sets of squares need to stay connected.

If you want to make it into an album rather than a banner, just add a piece of ribbon that is long enough to go around it when it's all folded up and tie a bow. Attach to the front of the album, keep it snug around the fold and attach to the back of the album. Leave your ends long enough to tie.

Use It Up All About Everything Remarkable You, Retiring List

I'm finally using up the last Designer Series Paper Sampler I had from a couple years ago! These were 3 x 6" pieces of each sheet of DSP that came in the pack. They were great for seeing the actual patterns and colors! But once the DSP retired, I couldn't just throw the samplers away- I had to use them up! The last one is Back To Black. Here are the first two cards:

These stamps are from the special Paper Pumpkin stamp set "All About Everything". I was working on these cards when the mail came, so when I saw the set I had to use it right away!

Colors: Basic Black, Garden Green, Rose Red, Whisper White

Colors: Basic Black, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White

For both cards, I fussy-cut the flower/leaves.

CASE'd from Pinterest, but I can't read the name on it.

The RETIRING LIST was just released!
