Totally Tools!

Today's post is a little different! The last card we did at the Stamp-A-Stack last Saturday was one that was created by another demosntrator. I bought one of her Class Planners that showed this card. She has asked that there be no pictures of the full cards posted anywhere, but provided this "sneak peek" photo for us to post. The card uses the Totally Tool stamp set- the tools are stamped in black ink on white cardstock, then cut out (boy, were there complaints about that!), colored, layered on black cardstock, and cut out again (yep, more complaints!). The card is Sahara Sand cardstock with a layer of Sage Shadow. It also used To The Nines Specialty Designer Paper. It makes a great masculine card that could be used for Father's Day, birthday, or whatever. I love the sayings in the Totally Tool set! Check them out on page 66 of the Idea Book & Catalog! And if you'd like to make a card like this, schedule a workshop or sign up for one of my classes and we can make one or do something similar!

Hope you have a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend!

Butterflies!

Did you know the Beautiful Wings Embosslit from the Occasions Mini Catalog is still available? It is! And I am so glad! It is so easy to use and the butterflies add so much to a card or project! These were another Stamp-A-Stack project- everyone made 3. The colors for the butterflies were Apricot Appeal, Ballet Blue, Pink Passion, Orchid Opulance, & Mellow Moss, all colors that will be retired at the end of June. They were attached to the white piece with Dimensionals because it was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder. Another all occasion card, and it uses up scraps! Woohoo!

Peppermint Bon Bon Ice Cream!

I LOVE Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Remember when it used to be called Peppermint Bon Bon? This card reminds me of it! It's a CASE from another Demonstrator, Zeva, & uses the Sweet Scoops set again (scroll down to see my Chocolate Ice Cream card) and Celebrate Everything. Colors are Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, & Whisper White.

Elements of Style

The Elements of Style stamp set has a really pretty large flower and a cute little hummingbird in it. I've seen lots of cards using them that are gorgeous! But I wanted to show the other stamps in the set, so this is the card I came up with. This was one of my projects for our group shoebox swap and also one of the cards at last Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack. The flourish is stamped with Versamark onto More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, & Always Artichoke cardstock, which are layered onto Chocolate Chip. The For You circle is also Versamark on Chocolate Chip, then punched out with the 1" circle punch. For the S-A-S, we did Chocolate Chip ink on Kraft cardstock so it would show up better. The card base is Kraft (soon to be called Crumb Cake!) and is embossed with the new Square Lattice folder. This could be for just about any occasion, and could be considered masculine as well! Gotta love that!

Go Graduate Pocket Card

I love this stamp set! Especially the feet! So when I rec'd a swap card using the set recently, I decided to change it up a little and use it for the Stamp-A-Stack last weekend. It's a 4 1/4 x 11" piece of Real Red cardstock, scored at 4" and 9 1/2". It's a standard size card with flaps that come together. The bottom (1 1/2") flap has a brad on each side to create a pocket for a gift card, money, or ?. The top flap tucks behind the image to close. The tassel on the cap is a piece of black grosgrain ribbon- if you pull the thread on the correct end, it unravels. If you pull on the wrong end, it won't unravel much and you get REALLY frustrated! So my advice is to check both ends before you tie the knot and attach it to your card! :)

Tropical Party Mini Album

The finished album

Pages that go into the envelopes
Inside page

This is the project we made at the group meeting I went to in the cities on Sunday. It's actually 4 medium whisper white envelopes, put together so the envelopes are open and you can slide a piece of cardstock into each one, and it has pages you can flip. We used the Tropical Party stamp set and the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper. The colors are Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, and Old Olive. Ribbons in those colors and some gold brads finish it off.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

I think everyone knows I love chocolate, especially chocolate ice cream! So I HAD to order the Sweet Scoops set in the Summer Mini Catalog. I attended a group meeting in the cities last Sunday, and this is the swap card I made. It's CASE'd (Copy And Steal/Share Everything) from a card made by another demonstrator, Kelli W. I rotated the card and changed the colors a little. The ice cream is stamped in Close To Cocoa with the stripes "kissed" in Chocolate Chip. The cone is stamped in Creamy Caramel and the sprinkles are in Chocolate Chip. The card is Close to Cocoa with Creamy Caramel on the bottom. A piece of Chocolate Chip 5'8" Grosgrain adds the finishing touch.

Tomorrow I'll show you the project we made...
