My Digital Studio Thank You

The "Thank You" tag on this card was on my gift bag I received for being a Make & Take Helper at last year's Convention. It was made with My Digital Studio and was square with a hole in the upper left corner where a piece of ribbon tied it to the handle of the bag. I carefully measured and cut until I got this shape. There are 2 rhinestones on it for bling.

Colors: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso

Accessories: Labels and Apothecary Accents Framelits, Chevron Embossing Folder

Botanical Gazette Project Repurposed

One of the projects we made at Leadership 2011 was a clear stamp case notebook. We used a piece of Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper (from the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog and no longer available- sorry!) as the insert and added all kinds of fun stuff, like Crochet Trim and Trinket Keys. It was a really neat project, but I never used, other than to have it on display. So I decided to cut it up and make cards out of it! (The stamp case now has framelits stored in it!)

This was the main design of the insert, which shows both sides of the DSP. We added some stamping using the Clearly For You (now discontinued) stamp set. The Crochet Trim was originally tied around the spine of the clear stamp case. I punched a piece of the DSP and added it as a border for my card.

More of the original insert, another punched border. I used Four Frames and the "thanks" from Fabulous Phrases for this card. Also a piece of Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon that I had from another project.

Last piece of DSP, part of it cut off and turned around to show both patterns. Added a piece of Twill Tape (now discontinued) that was from a ribbon sampler I bought from Stampin' Up! and a piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding. I thought a greeting would look too cluttered, so I left it as a blank card.

Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Very Vanilla

Leftover Pieces & Parts Cards

More cards using leftover parts! For these, I started with the strips of Wild Wasabi card stock that were left after cutting pieces for a Stamp-A-Stack.I also had a strip of Night of Navy that was just wide enough to get 3 of the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch out of.

The flower is from Nature Walk, colored with markers, greeting is from Thoughts & Prayers

The Birds are from Easy Events, colored with markers, the dots are from Border Banter, which is in the Holiday Catalog and will be available starting August 1st

Easy Events birds again, also a piece of Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon

Colors: So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Not Quite Navy, Pool Party, Whisper White

Looking at these cards now, I wish I would have used an embossing folder on the Wild Wasabi strips. Oh well...next time!

More Just Add Cake Leftover Cards

More of the same strips of Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (retired) like yesterday, but a different way to use them up:

Two banners going one way, one going the other

All three banners going the same way

Three banners going the same way, closer together

Three banners of different lengths going the same way

The pieces the Wish Big are stamped on for the last two cards is also Just Add Cake DSP. I thought it looked like notebook paper, so I drew a red line down the sides.

Stamp Sets: Pretty Postage (first 2 cards), Word Play (last 2 cards)

Colors: Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Accessories: square punch to make banner ends, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" Circle Punches

Just Add Cake Leftover Cards

Last week I decided I was going to do some stamping for fun (not just for classes or swaps) so I started by going through my scrap box. I found these strips of Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog) that were left over from swaps I made. I combined them with some strips of card stock to make some backgrounds. I combined that with other "found" pieces and came up with these four cards:

Today is my Dad's birthday and this is the card I gave him. I already had the Baja Breeze Designer Frame cut out, so I started with that. The greeting is from Create A Cupcake. Happy Birthday Dad!

I had the Whisper White Label (Labels Collection Framelits) already cut out and the presents fit it perfectly! I added some paper-piercing with the new tool and mat on page 181 of the Catalog, and the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack that is in the upcoming Holiday Catalog (one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is being able to order new items early!). The greeting is from Bring On The Cake.

Same greeting as above, had the Early Espresso 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punched out already. The balloons fit just right in a 1 3/4" Circle!

Last one...decided to use the Happy Birthday To You banner in the stamp set. The dots are from Border Banter, which is in the new Holiday Catalog (starts August 1st!)

It's kind of fun to see what you can do with similar cards!

Stamp Set: Patterned Party

Colors: So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Accessories: Just Add Cake DSP (retired)

When I use strips of DSP and/or card stock to make backgrounds like this, I make sure they are all cut straight, line them all up the way I want them, then flip each strip over in the same spot and use small pieces of tape to adhere them to each other. Then I can trim them all together to make sure the sides are even.

Raining Flowers & My Digital Studio

This was a card we made at Convention last summer. Convention is going on this week in Salt Lake City, but I'm not there this year. With buying the new house I figured it would be too much. I hope to go next year for Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary Celebration! Want to join me?

Stamp Set: Raining Flowers

(The "it's your day" greeting is now discontinued, but is available on My Digital Studio. For the Stamp-A-Stack, I printed the greeting on the piece of Whisper White card stock and had it cut to size. No worries on not getting them lined up!)

Colors: Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, Basic Black, Whisper White

Accessories: 3/8" Ruffled and 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, staples

Four Frames Paper Pierced Banner

I had planned to start sharing the cards from last Saturday's Stamp-A-Stack on Monday, but I didn't get pictures taken until today. I've been busy stamping and have LOTS to share over the next few weeks!

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is receiving the monthly newsletter, Stampin' Success. Each month they show a sample workshop, including a make and take project. This is the card they showed for August. I knew I wanted to make it as soon as I saw it, and it was perfect for the Stamp-A-Stack!

Stamp Sets: Four Frames, Petite Pairs

Colors: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Accessories: Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Decorative Label and Boho Blossoms Punches, Basic Pearls, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
