You've gotta love Stampin' Up! They gave us more projects than we could do for our Make N Takes at Leadership! 9 projects! And 2 1/2 hours of scheduled time. Not happening! Anyway, I finally finished all of the projects this weekend and took pictures of them yesterday.

The first project, that I actually did at Leadership, was making two of this card. We all donated one of our cards to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Our Good News!

We bought a house!

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I haven't been stamping either! We've been busy looking at houses and finally found one we all like! It's in Cold Spring and there's no place for the semi, so we're keeping the Building! John needs a place to park the truck and I need to be able to have stamping classes!

That's right...my classes are back! The first one is a Stamp-A-Stack on March 31st! Sign up by March 28th. We'll make 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs) for $20. Sign up today- just send me an e-mail or give me a call. I can't wait to see you!

More Information About The My Digital Studio Trial

I've had a few questions about the My Digital Studio Trial, so I thought I would post the information here for everyone to read...

* You can start the trial at any time. It's good for 30 days from the day you start.

* The Trial is the Express Version which retails for $39.95. It's designed to get you started with the program quickly. It is the basics of My Digital Studio, then you buy the downloads for additional stamp sets, punches, embellishments, Designer Series Paper, etc. that you want.

* You may purchase downloads at any time during your trial period. They are yours to keep no matter what! And you may use them in other programs.

* There is no shipping or tax charged on downloads, and no minimums. So if you want to buy one download to see how it works, all you pay is the price of the download. They range in price from $0.95 for a punch to $24.95 for a photobook template. The majority are less than $10.

* You can view a PDF Catalog of all the downloads available by going to www.mydigitalstudio.net. This website is from Stampin' Up! and is for anyone who is interested in the program, not just demonstrators. There are lots of great videos, forums, galleries and more!

* To purchase a download, go to my online store: www.denalenneman.stampinup.net and click on "Shop Now" in the upper right hand corner. All downloads must be purchased online so that you will have access to them on your computer.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I'll get them answered for you! I hope you enjoy the trial of My Digital Studio!

How To Make A Medallion

I'm sure you've seen them, but have you tried making a medallion? Some people call them lollies. I call them fun to make!

I made these in December for some gifts. I used products from the Holiday Mini. I had planned on sharing this before the mini was done, but that didn't happen! You can easily switch out the Designer Series Paper and stamp set and make them for Valentine's, birthdays, or any occasion.

Here is how I make mine:

I start with a strip of Designer Series Paper that is 1" x 12". Using my Simply Scored (LOVE IT!) I scored every 1/2", then flipped the strip over and scored every 1/4". I find it's easier to fold when you have the scores alternating, since you need to fold the strip so it makes an accordian. Think mountains and valleys!

I add a piece of Sticky Strip to the end...

...and stick the ends together to make a continuous circle. Be careful when you line up the ends so the overlap and continue the mountains and valleys. I add another piece of Sticky Strip to the other end so it doesn't flop and get in the way.

Punch a 1" circle and add 2 small pieces of Sticky Strip. This can be any color, as it ends up on the front of the medallion and will be covered up with the stamped piece later.

Punch a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle in a coordinating color (I used Garden Green) and add 2 pieces of Sticky Strip. This is going to be the base of the medallion.

Flatten the circle of Designer Series Paper and push it together to the size you want. I push mine together as much as I can. I had the perfect size cover from a small container that just fit this size circle, but of course it got packed and I have no idea where it is now. But you can do this just by holding it! Attach the 1" circle and press firmly- enough to make the DSP stick to the circle, but not so hard that you squish the folds.

Attach the medallion to the Scalloped Circle.

Here's another medallion I made- I used the Scalloped Edge Border punch on 1 side of the strip. I used the scallops as guides for scoring- they're scored one way in between the scallops and the other way in the center of the scallops.

On this one I used the Eyelet Border punch. Also scored 1 way in between the scallops and the other way in the center of the scallops. This one made a much talled medallion.

Here are all 3 showing the different edges. The top one is straight, lower left is Scallop Edge Border punch, lower right is Eyelet Border punch. All the strips started out 12" long, so you can see that different scoring widths changes the size of the folds and the height of the medallion.

Finished medallion! I love the pinecones in the Pines & Poinsettas stamp set! I colored these with markers and used the Decorative Label punch for the Whisper White and Red Glimmer Paper (which is still available as a write in!). The greeting is from Petite Pairs. I layered a 2 1/2" circle of Early Espresso behind the scallop and there's half a Cherry Cobbler Modern Label on the top so I could attach the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and a mini jingle bell.

I hope you try making a medallion soon if you haven't already!

If you need any supplies to make them, you can order online or call or e-mail me!

Apothecary Art & Labels Framelits

I wasn't sure I liked the Apothecary Art stamp set in the Occasions Mini, but after seeing some samples that used it, I decided I had to have it! Don't you hate it when that happens?

This is another card I experimented with. I decided it would be too much coloring for the number of swaps I needed. Plus I was diagnosed with Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow (seriously? I don't play either- never have!) right before Christmas. I wasn't sure I could *do* that much coloring!

Anyway...I also used the Labels Framelits and the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.
Colors are Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Whisper White
