Acorny Thank You Happy Scenes Tin Of Cards Wonderland Antlers

The Stamp Share For Leaders group that I belong to is having a Pizza Party and Swap tonight. I mailed my swaps in so I have to wait a few days to get them back. It will be worth the wait though! I always get the best swaps from this group!

OK, so I had an idea using two of the stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog (which starts tomorrow- yay!). The solid base of the acorn in Acorny Thank You reminded me of the base they mount antlers to. And there is a set of antlers in the Wonderland set. Perfect! When I showed John the first version of my idea, he said the antlers are too close together:

So I cut the stamp apart:

Then I can place them on the block with a wider space in between.

Here's the first card I made:

There's lots of new stuff on this one!

Stamps: Acorny Thank You, Happy Scenes, Wonderland

Accessories: Hearth & Home Thinlits

The greeting is from Tin of Cards. I sponged the background for the scene and colored the leaves and pumpkins with markers.

Tomorrow I'll share the version I made for the swap!

Use It Up Just Kidding

These cards use more of the really retired Designer Series Paper I found in my stash. I've got to use things up sooner- it's hard matching colors! This time I went with Lost Lagoon, Melon Mambo and Old Olive. The pieces with the heart cutouts on them were from a kit several years ago, I think.

Inside: ...from your 110 lb. friend!

Inside: ...maybe not as hard as "no thanks, I'll pass on dessert"...but it's hard.

I used the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners on the Lost Lagoon layer. The little pieces of Old Olive behind them are DSP from the same pack.

Use It Up Big News One Tag Fits All Cupcake Party

You know it's time to use up Designer Series Paper when you can only recognize one current color in it! I found some pieces in my stash and decided to use them up, but the only color I could match for sure was Old Olive. The yellow looks like Hello Honey so I went with that for the card bases. I'm pretty sure the light blue was Bashful Blue, but there is a slightly darker blue stripe that looks similar to Lost Lagoon so I added just a little of that to each card. The color behind the border punches is DSP from the same pack. Luckily I kept the scraps together!

I also used One Tag Fits All from this spring's Occasion Catalog- it is not current. The inside of the card says "BIG NEWS".

Next card- same DSP, similar layout but turned:

Linda's Cherry On Top DSP Coffee Mugs

Linda did the other Make & Take at our last Stamp Share. She had us make these cute little coffee mugs:

She even gave us a little bag of M&M's to put inside!

This is made using the Gift Bag Punch Board to punch the holes you see along the bottom and lots of scoring. Once you see how they come together they're pretty easy to make. We used Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper to decorate them.

You've Got This Corner Flip Card...Again!

I signed up to do a Make & Take at our monthly Stamp Share Tuesday night. I hadn't heard anyone else talk about the Corner Flip Card yet, so I decided to make one like this one we did at my last Stamp-A-Stack.

SNEAK PEAK Jingle All The Way Sleigh Ride Edgelits

We had our monthly Stamp Share on Tuesday so I needed to come up with a swap card. I have seen a few versions of a card online that I liked, so I decided to make one:

I was a little too confident that Fast Fuse wouldn't show under the vellum, but when you don't have the embossed dots to cover it, it shows! There are lots of layers on this card- the Soft Sky card base, vellum, Crumb Cake with the buildings, vellum, Crumb Cake with the trees, vellum, Crumb Cake with the sleigh and vellum. The vellum was all one piece that I cut to match the Crumb Cake pieces. I needed something that wouldn't show adhesive and wasn't so many layers! On to the next version:

Now I'm on to something! This one has a vellum overlay attached with the ribbon- no worries about adhesive! Here's what it looks like underneath the vellum:

I cut all of the pieces out of one 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock, colored the parts I wanted and put them back together again. That left lots of holes by the horse and sleigh, so I put a scrap of white behind them. I'll show you how I did the yellow in the windows in a little bit. This was the final version I came up with:

And the view under the vellum:

All cut from one 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock, but overlapped just enough to cover the holes. This also gave me more "sky" above. This is how I lined up the edgelits:

This is what the pieces looked liked before I layered them:

For the buildings, I cut another from Crumb Cake and added little pieces of Daffodil Delight on the back to look like lights for the windows and doors. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen! It makes it so easy to add these tiny pieces! It dries quickly and really sticks! Just make sure you put the cap on or it will dry quickly! It's a nice size bottle to hold too.

Definitely a putzy card, but the results are worth it! I really had fun making these.

If you'd like to come to our monthly Stamp Share, all you have to do is become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! I'd love to have you join my team! Check out the "Join The Fun" tab to find out more!

Betty's Watercolor Wings Sassy Salutations Glitter Background

We had three people demonstrating at our Product Extravaganza on Saturday. Amy was showing Paper Pumpkin and some of the alternate projects she's made using the kits. Linda was showing the Punch Boards and how to make different size projects with each. And Betty was showing two techniques we learned at Convention. The first was a fun way to apply glitter. This is the card she showed:

Mix a little bit of the Mulitipurpose Liquid Glue with a few drops of water from the AquaPainter to make it runny. Dip the AquaPainter into the glue mixture and then flick it over your card stock. Sprinkle glitter over the card stock and shake off the excess. The glitter will stick where the glue mixture spots are. So pretty!

Tomorrow I'll share Betty's other card.
