Patchwork Pieces Circle Sayings Shoebox Swap

A couple weeks ago, nine of us got together on a Saturday and did a Shoebox Swap. We each designed a card and brought all the supplies needed so everyone else could make the card. We went around to each spot and made each others cards until we did them all, which took just over four hours. We did have pizza for lunch and there was a lot of talking going on too! It was so much fun!

To make it easier to line up all the pieces, I turned them over and used small pieces of tape to put them together. Then I was able to center the whole layer instead of trying to do it one piece at a time.

Katie's Artistically Inked Triple Time Stamping

Katie did the second Make & Take at our April Stamp Share. This technique is called triple time stamping, as you stamp all three layers at one time, then add the colored card stock layers in between.

The Designer Series Paper that we used was called "Awash In Beauty". It was in the last annual catalog and just retired. We also made a matching gift bag!

It was made with a 6 x 12" piece of DSP. It measures 4 3/4" tall x  3 1/2" wide x 2" deep. Bev even had coordinating napkins for each of us to put in our bags!

Trudi's Watercolored Perched In A Tree

Have you ever stamped with your clear blocks? That's what Trudi did on this card for our April Stamp Share swap. She tapped the block on her ink pad, then spritzed it with water and stamped on the card stock. The spritzing makes it look like it was watercolored.
