Stamp-a-Stack In Color Butterfly Basics Butterflies Thinlits

 I resisted this set for so long! I didn't think I'd use it and I figured the Thinlits would be too putzy. I'm glad I caved and ordered them both! There's a good variety of stamps in the set- it was fun layering them for this card! And the Butterfly popped right out of the die when I used wax paper with it. I just had to pop a few little pieces out which wasn't hard at all. I will miss these In Colors! They worked so well together!

At the February Stamp-A-Stack, we made this card using Guy Greetings. I decided to make a few more that are similar to show more of the stamps in the set. The frame is a piece of chipboard that I colored with Blendabilities before Stampin' Up! announced they were going to be discontinued.

Paper Pumpkin March 2015 Sew You - Part 2

Yesterday I shared the first 4 cards I made using the March Paper Pumpkin kit Sew You. Today I'll be sharing the other 5 cards I made. The kit came with everything to make 9 cards. Rather than sewing (so not my thing!) I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the "YOU" on these cards:

One of my nieces is graduating from college today, so this is the card I made for her. The school colors are green and white. I used Garden Green and White Baker's Twine:

Another niece will be graduating from high school in a couple of weeks, so I made her this card. The school colors are orange and black. I used Pumpkin Pie but the Baker's Twine is Tangerine Tango:

For the last 2 cards, I also used Crazy About You (in the Occasion Catalog) and Pure Gumption (retired). The letters are colored and then I used Baker's Twine.

Paper Pumpkin March 2015 Sew You - Part 1

I started working with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit "Sew You" right after I got it. I'm not into sewing (other than fixing ripped dog toys and sewing on an occasional button) so I had a hard time with this one. But after seeing some other ideas for the kit at the Creative Connection and the Stamp Share For Leaders event, I decided it was time to work on it again! Today I'll share 4 cards I made with actual sewing on them and tomorrow I'll share the rest.

Here is my sample, following the directions:

For this one, I did the stitches going straight across the letters using retired (so it didn't matter if I goofed up!) Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine:

Here's a close up of  the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Sticker I used over a star I punched from Pear Pizzazz (a close enough match to the twine) card stock:

On this card, I did the stitches as "X's":

For this card, I sponged the bubble with Bermuda Bay Ink and used Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine
