Festival Of Trees Swap

This is the second card I made for the Stamp Share With Leaders Pizza Party Swap. The idea for this came to me while I was trying to fall asleep a couple weeks ago. I love how it turned out!

Stamps: Festival Of Trees, Wondrous Wreath (greeting)

Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Hello Honey, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Tree Punch, Star Punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Fast Fuse Adhesive

I used the Fast Fuse Adhesive on the bottom of the tree where it touches the Glimmer Paper. I LOVE this stuff- it really sticks!

For All Things Circle Card Thinlit Swaps

These are cards I did for the Stamp Share For Leaders Pizza Party Swap this week. I didn't go to the swap- I mailed my cards instead. It's so fun getting the box in the mail afterwards and going through all of the awesome cards! That's how I get lots of ideas for my classes!

I decided to get my Circle Card Thinlit out since I haven't used for awhile. The stamp set is new in the Holiday Catalog, For All Things. I also used the new Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape. The colors are Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Whisper White and Very Vanilla.

The front (it's hard to take pictures of these cards since they don't stay together!)

The backside of the circle, so the inside!

Another version with a different design of paper

The two versions together

This is how I used the framelit to get the piece that folds over. I started with the usual 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" piece of card stock. By putting one end UNDER the framelit, it didn't cut so I was able to fold it in. I didn't run the framelit all the way through the Big Shot- I stopped before the edge on the left went through so it didn't crease the card stock.

Some Paper Pumpkin projects and info

New products from the Holiday Mini and samples that have been on my board for over a month! I did change them after this picture was taken so there were new ones up for the Open House!

What's Your Type? WTF Who's Turning Fifty?

Our group Stamp Share was last Monday and this is the swap I made for it. We've had 3 50th Birthdays in our family this year and it's hard coming up with special cards to celebrate them! So I thought I would share this idea I had.

Stamps: What's Your Type?

Colors: Crushed Curry, Island Indigo, Real Red

Accessories: My Digital Studio

I LOVE using MDS to add whatever greeting I want! For this card, I started an 8 1/2 x 11 landscape project, added a text box and typed the greeting. Then I changed it to the font, size and color I wanted, copied and pasted it 5 times and arranged them on the page so I would get 6 pieces on a page. Printed it on Whisper White, cut them to size, did the stamping and added it to my cards. Perfect!

Here is how you can make all of the letters with the What's Your Type? stamp set:

So many possibilities!

The Open Sea Stripes In A Different Color Combination

We had our monthly Stamp Share on Monday. These are so much fun! We have demonstrations, do make and takes, talk about Stampin' Up! and stamping in general, share projects we've made and, of course, eat! Betty always brings us something delicious for supper and we take turns bringing salads and dessert. We also take turns doing the demos and make and takes. This month I did one of the make and takes, and I based it on this card from my August Stamp-A-Stack. The only thing different was changing up the colors because I wanted to use up this textured card stock in Pool party.

Stamps: The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Colors: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Whisper White

Accessories: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Here's one I made with the extra set of supplies I had left after the Stamp Share:

The greeting is from Another Thank You. I like it with a bolder greeting, too!

If you make this card, make sure you stamp off the background stamp so the ink is lighter. Otherwise the compass stamp won't show up as well.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to my Customer Appreciation Open House last night! You guys are the best!

Stamp-a-Stack The Open Sea Stripes

This is the last card from the August Stamp-A-Stack wand is my favorite. Everyone seemed to like it! It's CASE'd from Christyne R.

Stamps: The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Colors: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Here are some more versions I made with some extra pieces I had after cutting what I needed for the S-A-S. I wanted to see how it looked with different embossing folders.

Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, greeting from Wetlands

Stamp-A-Stack Wetlands Squares

Card #4 from the August Stamp-A-Stack, which is an CASE'd from a similar card we did at one of our monthly Stamp Shares. I think it was Carol S. who did this one as a Make & Take. I used current punches since the old square punches were retired and made the bottom punched layer the same color as the card base instead of white. It doesn't show up well on the picture, but there are 3 vertical embossed lines in the upper right corner of the card.

Stamps: Wetlands

Colors: Pool Party, Soft Suede, Whisper White

Accessories: 1" Square and Postage Stamp punches, Dimensionals

Here's another version I just made using some extra pieces from the card I'll share tomorrow.

Stamps: Wetlands

Colors: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Whisper White

Accessories: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, 1" Square, Postage Stamp, Oval and Scalloped Oval punches, Dimensionals

Now I might have to try it like this one but in blue! I like the embossed layer- not so much blank space. What do you think?

Stamp-A-Stack From My Heart Framelits

Card #2 and I guess #3 from the August Stamp-A-Stack. I wasn't sure how to do only 2 of this card since the stamps are different sizes, so I ended up doing 4 of this one, one of each stamp from the set. I had the Basic Gray layers die cut ahead of time, so all everyone had to do was stamp each stamp and die cut those pieces.

Stamps: From My Heart

Colors: Basic Gray, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Whisper White

Accessories: Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, Circles, Ovals, Labels and Window Frames framelits

Stamp-A-Stack Big News Chalk Lines

The August Stamp-A-Stack was last Saturday! Here are the first set of cards, which are Clean and Simple- no layers! I CASE'd them from Stampin' Success, which is the Stampin' Up! magazine for Demonstrators.

Stamps: Big News, Chalk Lines

Colors: Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White

Accessories: Thick Baker's Twine, In Color Sequin Assortment, Project Life Corner Punch, Glue Dots

I heard lots of comments about how great this little punch is! It works so much better than the old Corner Rounder punch we used to have. If you've been trying to decide if you need it or not, you do!

Use It Up Apothecary Art Walk In The Wild Moose Birthday

Yesterday I shared some cards made with paper from the Taste of Textiles Specialty Paper which has been retired for years. Time to use it up! The cards yesterday used up the polka dot vellum and most of the white stripes (I'll be using that up soon!). Today I'll share the cards I made to use up the brushed bronze paper from this pack. They also have some background (script) paper I made for another project using My Digital Studio.

Stamps: Walk In The Wild, Apothecary Art (greeting)

Colors: Bronze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla (top 2 cards), Whisper White (bottom card)

Accessories: Circle, Deco Labels and Window Frame framelits, Scallop Edge and Scallop Trim (retired) Border punches

Today is the last day to sign up for the Stamp-A-Stack this Saturday! We'll be making 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs). $20. If you can't make it but would like the cards, I can put a kit together for you to make them or make the cards for you- same price.

And remind everyone that the items on the Carry Over List are only available until August 27th! If there are things on this list that you want, please order them before they are gone!

On to the cards, which were made with the Festive Flurry Framelits and Greetings of the Season stamp set- both are on the Carry Over List:

Colors: Island Indigo, Whisper White

Accessories: really retired Taste of Textiles Specialty Paper (white stripes and polka dot vellum), Frosted Finishes Embellishments (from last year's Holiday Catalog)

Use It Up Endless Birthday Wishes Vivid Vases Dots & Stripes

Here are the rest of the cards I made with the Designer Series Paper I told you about yesterday. All of them also have scraps from a non-SU! red metal sheet I found in my stash.

Stamps: Endless Birthday Wishes

Stamps: Vivid Vases, A Dozen Thoughts

Stamps: Vivid Vases, A Dozen Thoughts

Stamp: Vivid Vases

The last three cards were colored with Blendabilities Markers. I stamped the Vivid Vases on scraps of the DSP, cut them out and adhered them to the vases on the second and third cards- this is called paper piecing.

Have a great weekend! I'll be back with more cards to share next week! Don't forget to sign up for the August 16th Stamp-A-Stack by Wednesday the 13th!

Use It Up Hot Diggity Dog Just Sayin' Dots & Stripes

The cards I'll be sharing today and tomorrow started with more strips of Designer Series Paper that were left over after cutting a 12 x 12" sheet down to 8 1/2 x 11" for scrapbooking. These pieces end up being 3 1/2 x 12, so I cut them in half and used them for the background on these cards. I also had 1 x 8 1/2" strips so I used those for accents. This paper is so old I don't even remember what it came from! The colors are Old Olive, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red (the last 2 are retired!). Time to use them up!

Stamps: Hot Diggity Dog

Accessories: Deco Labels Framelits, Envelope Punch Board (to round corners)

Stamps: Hot Diggity Dog

Accessories: Envelope Punch Board (to round corners)

Stamps: Hot Diggity Dog

Stamps: Just Sayin'

Accessories: Word Bubbles Framelits, Hexagon Punch (to cut ends of banner)

I traced the outside of the Word Bubble Framelit and cut with a scissors to make the layer.
