Pure Gumption Delightful Dozen My Digital Studio Congratulations Graduate- ROCORI Version!

Here's the ROCORI (red and black) version of my Pure Gumption Graduation card:

Which do you like better? The black and white is classic and works for any school. But I love the red glimmer paper. This design is easy to adapt to whatever colors you want!

I'll share the thank you's I made for Chase to send out after he gets them written.

Serene Silhouettes Dozen Thoughts Clear Block Marker Background

Last night was our monthly group Stamp Share. It's so much fun getting together with everyone and talking about stamping! We had two demonstrations, two make & takes, and of course, a swap! This is the card that I made:

This is similar to the masking tape background I did for my moose card, but even easier! I colored right on my "D" clear block with markers, spritzed it with water and stamped with the block. This technique was shared in a Stampin' Up! video and I saw several samples of it on Pinterest. Depending on how much water you use, the colors will vary:

I made 14 cards. Here they are together so you can see the variation:
(sorry about the light coming through the blind above my stamping table!)

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, A Dozen Thoughts

Colors: Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, black, Whisper White

Accessories: Black Staz On Ink, Pumpkin Pie Blendabilites to color Pearls

Chase's Graduation Party

We had Chase's Graduation Party at the Building Saturday night!

The counter in the corner works perfect for the food. This was before we had everything out. The green "lump" is a glass drink canister that was full of pink lemonade and the plaid lump next to the counter is a quarter barrel of 1919 Root Beer- Chase's favorite! We had them covered to keep them cold and to soak up condensation.

We had decorations hanging from the lights and on each table.

Another view from the other side of the room

The table by the front door

The 16 x 20 canvas print of my favorite of Chase's grad pictures

The cake from Cold Spring Bakery- it's half a quarter sheet cake with the other half cupcakes. We also had LOTS of cupcakes! Much easier than cutting a cake!

Black, Red and White napkins- ROCORI colors!

Congratulations Chase! We're so proud of you! Good luck for the future!

(Chase is going to St. Cloud Technical & Community College for Auto Body this fall)

Paper Pumpkin To The Rescue For Father's Day!

Chase's Graduation party is tomorrow! I've been so busy getting things together for it that I haven't been stamping. But then I realized Father's Day is on Sunday and I have no cards! Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! The May kit is called "Hey Man" and contains stamps that say "Happy Father's Day" and "Happy Birthday". I made all six cards last night and it took me less than a half hour! Perfect!

This is the sample card- quick and easy!

I decided to turn the card and use the same layout

For this one I spread the layers out. I think the green layer looks like a tie!

Same layout but a birthday card

The last two cards are 3x3. I used the extra pieces from cutting off the layers for the turned card to add to these.

I think this one is my favorite.

I saw this picture comparing the Glimmer Paper somewhere and saved it, but I don't remember who shared it. Who ever it was, thank you!

Our Graduate!

It's official! Chase graduated Saturday night!

He wouldn't put his hat back on for pictures, though. He said it hurt!

There he is, getting ready to go up to get his diploma!

I brought our small camera with and it does not take very good pictures with the zoom. I think John got some better pictures with his phone, but I haven't gotten them onto my computer yet. I'll try to get them on here soon if they are better.

Next up, the grad party on the 14th!
