Sorry I haven't shared anything for awhile! I haven't been stamping much for the last couple of weeks. I've been spending most of my time on ancestry.com working on my family tree. I had the basics (name, birthday, etc) for the first couple of generations, so I've been busy filling in spouses and siblings, and trying to see how much farther I could go back. On my Mom's Mom's side, I followed the line back to my 10 times Great Grandfather who came over on the Mayflower! Wow! It's been pretty exciting and pretty much took over my life for awhile! I'll keep working on it and seeing what else I can find. But I need to get back to stamping and sharing!
Tuesday night was our Stamp Share and this is the card I made for our swap:
I saw the card Connie Collins from the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team made and decided I had to try it! She die cut Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets with the Autumn Accents die, placed them on the card front (after stamping the Woodgrain Background Stamp), peeled the backing off, then sprinkled glitter on them and rubbed it in with her finger. Very easy, but kind of messy! I thought about using this for a Stamp-A-stack but we would have had glitter everywhere!
Stamps: Woodgrain, Truly Grateful
Colors: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, orange
Accessories: Autumn Accents die, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Stampin' Glitter, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Hexagon Punch (to make banner end)
I used small pieces of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to adhere the Burlap Ribbon to the card and the Truly Grateful banner to the Burlap Ribbon.
Tomorrow is the September Stamp-A-Stack so I'll be sharing those cards next week...
