Stamp-A-Stack Quatrefancy DSP Double Gate Fold

Last Saturday was the June Stamp-A-Stack. We made cards using new products. Here is card #1, which is CASE'd from a swap my upline Betty did recently:

Stamp Set: Chalk Talk

 

Colors: Daffodil Delight/Strawberry Slush and Island Indigo/Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

 

Accessories: Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper, Estra Large Oval Punch, Ovals Framelits, Tasteful Trim Die

 

These are easier than they look! Start with a piece of DSP that is 5 1/2 x 12, score at  4" and 8". Then I used the diagonal score plate to score lines from the 4" and 8" lines to the outside edges. I cut on the diagonal lines to remove the corners, which are then flipped over and attached at the bottom. Then score at 2" and 10" to create the fold for the front panels.

Simply Sketched Sympathy Swap

Last night was our group meeting and in addition to make and takes, demos, and sharing ideas, we always do a swap. This is the card I made:

 

 

My sister Darla brought the stamp set with when she came to stamp with me on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I've actually had my cards done since then!

Colors: Crisp Canteloupe, Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Whisper White

It's hard to see in the picture, but I paper pierced around the Early Espresso oval.

 

The flowers for both cards were stamped on Crisp Canteloupe and cut by hand. Sometimes I like fussy putzy stuff like that! For the shaded background, I made a template out of a piece of scrap paper that was a little smaller than the white piece and sponged with Sahara Sand ink.

 

The were CASE'd with slight changes from a card by Vicki B. on Stampin' Connection (Stampin' Up!'s website for demonstrators).
