Upsy Daisy Pastels

Card #4 from the May Stamp-A-Stack

Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy (retiring)

Colors: Basic Black, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Old Olive

Accessories: Stampin' Pastels (retiring), Whisper White Craft Ink, Decorative Label and Extra Large Oval Punches

This is similar to the Poppin' Pastels technique where you stamp your image in Versamark and then color with the Stampin' Pastels. Using the White Craft Ink makes it easier to see where to color. Thanks to my upline Betty for sharing this tip when she had us make a similar card!

Pocket Silhouettes Scrunched Ribbon

Card #3 from the May Stamp-A-Stack, CASE'd, but the name on the picture is too small to read it so I don't know who to give credit to.

Stamp Set: Pocket Silhouettes (retiring)

Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz (retiring), Whisper White

Accessories: Brights Designer Buttons, White Baker's Twine, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding (retiring)

For the Stamp-A-Stack, I had everyone use SNAIL adhesive to attach the scrunched ribbon to the card. Everyone was worried about doing it wrong, but the SNAIL is forgiving- if you didn't like the way it looked, you could pull the ribbon up again and fix it. I think everyone felt a little more confidant after doing the ribbon this way. However, my sample started to let go after all the handling it got, so I did redo it using Sticky Strip.

Easy Events Cupcake

I love the Easy Events stamp set- it's so versatile! This card, which was a Stampin' Up! project, is actually a note card and envelope, so a little smaller than a standard card we usually make. The envelope was sealed, then half a 2 1/2" circle was punched out of the side to create an opening for the card to slide into. Part of the cupcake peeks out the half circle when the card is in the envelope.

Stamp Set: Easy Events

Colors: Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue,Basic Black, Whisper White

Accessories: Note Cards, 2 1/2" Circle and 1" Square Punch, Scalloped Dots Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2 Way Glue Pen

Live, Laugh & Love Birthday Butterflies

I made this card at a Stamp Share with my upline Betty. I liked it so much I decided to use it for the April Stamp-A-Stack!

Stamp Sets: Flight of the Butterfly, Hello, Doily & On Your Birthday (both are retiring, :( )

Colors: Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Whisper White

Accesories: Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, Butterfly Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder

This card uses the "kissing" technique. Ink up a large background stamp, then ink a smaller stamp on the background stamp by "kissing" them together, then stamp the image. Works best with a solid stamp so the design of the background stamp shows up in the shape of the smaller stamp.
