SNEAK PEEK Layering Alphabet Edgelits Amazing Congratulations Graduation

Our neighbor Rachel is graduating from high school this year! She had her grad party on Sunday and I didn't have any graduation cards on hand. So this is what I made for her:

These are new Layering Alphabet Edgelits that will be in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog that starts on June 1st!

More Thank You's For Alicia

Another picture of my niece/goddaughter Alicia who passed away on April 25th. She loved Disney movies, especially the princesses. So when she got to go to a school dance, she wore a dress that looked like Cinderella's. She's dancing with her brother Tyler.

We tried to find some Disney scrapbook paper that had princesses on them to make more thank you's, but weren't able to find exactly what we were looking for. I ended up buying a digital file of Cinderella images on Etsy and made these:

The "thank you" is from new stamp set "Love What You Do" that will be in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog that starts on June 1st. You can buy it in three special bundles this month! Click HERE to find out more.

Colors: Pacific Point, Soft Sky, Whisper White

I don't have a picture of all of them, but I have made 96 of these so far- 48 of each. Danielle liked the one with the mice and birds and Lenny liked the one with the dress, so I decided to make them both! I did end up putting a layer of Pacific Point on the bottom card.

Alicia

My niece/goddaughter Alicia passed away on April 25th. She had been healthy, other than she fell on the stairs in early March and broke her ankle. She ended up having surgery to put in two plates about a week later. The morning of the 25th she had breakfast and went back to bed to watch a movie. My sister was getting her settled when suddenly she had a seizure. They ended up calling an ambulance and when she arrived at the hospital she coded. That happened five times, then they flew her to a larger hospital. I ended up driving my parents there and a few minutes after we arrived outside her room, she coded again. It was too much strain on her heart and it gave out. She was 24.

Alicia loved animals! Here she is at a friend's farm with a bunny. She spent lots of time there with their mini horse, brushing and feeding him and taking him for walks. She was pretty quiet, but she let you know when she liked (or didn't like!) something! She loved ketchup with most meals and would use a spoon to eat it if there was some left on her plate after the rest of the food was gone. We put some ketchup packets in her casket at the funeral so she would have some with her.

Darla and I made some thank you's for Danielle and Lenny. These were my first batch. Alicia liked bright colors. It's so hard to believe she's gone! We miss you Alicia!

Carol's Love What You Do Share What You Love Impossible Card

Carol S. did the second Make & Take at our May Stamp Share. Have you seen or heard of the "impossible card"? That's what this is. It's actually really easy to make once you have the cutting and scoring done. It's just a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock with one cut going from the top to the middle and two cuts going from the bottom to the middle. Then you take one of the small flaps on the bottom and rotate it to the top so basically half the card is twisted and that middle piece pops up. Kind of hard to explain, but there are lots of videos of people showing how to make it.
