Holiday Gift Packaging Class Projects

The Class Projects, plus the Tag Box

Stocking Gift Card Holder (case'd from Andrea W)

Matchbox using Christmas Cocoa DSP

Pillow Box made with Window Sheets (holds 3 Hershey Nuggets perfectly!)

Box #2 in Old Olive with various DSP

Movers & Shakers Pouch in Rich Razzleberry with Top Note Die in Gable Green (case'd from Lisa F)
I love the Big Shot for making great boxes and containers! 4 of the projects for yesterday's Holiday Gift Packaging Class were made with Big Shot dies. So quick and easy!
The top of the Stocking Gift Card Holder opens and has a spot to tuck a gift card inside. So cute! Thanks Andrea W. for sharing this idea!

And everyone made a set of gift tags and a box to hold them, similar to the one I made with Santa's Belt.

If you have any questions on these projects, let me know!

More on my Tag Boxes...

Close up of the Santa's Belt Box

Close up of the Poinsetta Box

Close up of the back side of the tags

I'm doing a class tomorrow afternoon where a we'll be making a tag box and gift tags like the ones in the pictures above. A few people aren't able to attend, so I've been trying to figure out a way to make this into a kit they can buy and do at home. But unless they have the stamp set and all the punches, it's not an option.
So, I'm going to offer them for sale as a completed project! They will make great gifts!
Each box contains 24 tags (6 each of 4 designs) that are 3 layers of cardstock- stamped image on the front, colored cardstock for the middle layer, and then a slightly smaller layer of either white or vanilla on the back with "to: from:" stamped on it- and a gold or silver cord. They are packaged in a gift box that has a divider to keep the 4 designs separate, a clear slide-on cover, and a matching "belt" to hold everything together. The boxes are available in the 2 designs shown in the pictures- Santa's Belt or the Poinsetta.
Each Tag Box is $7.50. If they need to be shipped I will have to figure out postage for you(price does not include postage). To order, send me an e-mail with the number of boxes you would like and which design(s), along with your contact information, including zip code so I can calculate shipping costs. I will send you a PayPal invoice, and then send your box(es) out within 2-3 days. If you have any questions, let me know!

Holiday Gift Packaging Class & Stamping Tip of the Week

I have a Stamp-A-Stack scheduled for this Saturday (the 21st), but I'm going to change it to a "Holiday Gift Packaging" class. We're going to make a box of gift tags similar to the ones pictured above, as well as a few other ways to give some small gifts. Cost will be $20 and the class will be 12:30-3:30. Please sign up by Thursday the 19th so I can have enough supplies ready for everyone. Thanks! Hope to see you on Saturday!
Tonight is the 1st meeting of the St. Cloud Stampers & Scrappbookers Group! 7 pm at the Building in Rockville. We'll be discussing what we would like this group to do. Become a member or find out more info: http://www.meetup.com/The-St-Cloud-Stampers-Scrappers-Group/. And you can still join us tonight! Hope to see you!
Stamping Tip of the Week:
Did you notice the holes on the top strip of a Stampin’ Up! order form? They make a great template for perfectly spaced brads, eyelets, etc.
Happy Stamping!

Hearing & Service Dogs of MN Graduation

Chase & Izzy

3 of our puppies graduated for Hearing & Service Dogs of MN yesterday! Brinks & Viggo are both service dogs and Izzy is a Hearing Dog. They are all from our Sydne's 1st litter, as is Vern, who graduated this spring and is an Autism Assist Dog. We are so proud!
These pictures are from backstage, before the actual ceremony. We had about an hour to spend with the dogs. We had Izzy until she was about 9 months old- she was Chase's dog. She definitely remembered us, but didn't have as big of a reaction to seeing us again as we thought she might. She's still a petite little girl, but so well behaved! And cute! It was fun seeing her next to her brothers, who we haven't seen since they were 8 weeks old. Viggo is tall and lean and looks very athletic, while everything about Brinks is just big! We saw a little bit of Sydne in all of them and they even have some of her little behaviors!
It is so amazing to see the dogs with their clients and hear about what a difference they make in their lives. It makes all the hard work that goes into raising the puppies worthwhile! We are honored that we can part of the process!
Congratulations to everyone who graduated yesterday! We wish you the best!

Direct Sales Christmas Fair - tomorrow!

The Direct Sales Christmas Fair is tomorrow, 10-4, @ the Clear Lake City Offices (1 block off of Hwy. 24). 15 different companies will be represented, including me with Stampin' Up! I won't be able to be there all day, however, as we are going to the Hearing & Service Dogs of MN graduation in Minneapolis to watch 3 of the puppies from our 1st litter graduate! My sister Darla, who is also a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, will be there taking my place. We'll be selling lots of discontinued stamp sets and accessories, along with some great handstamped gift items and cards! Don't forget to enter the Grand Prize drawing and say I invited you to the sale!

Stamping Tip of the Week

Stamping Tip of the Week:

Don’t cover your entire piece with adhesive- just use short pieces on the corners and center. This will save your adhesive and your money!

Happy Stamping!

Stamping Tip of the Week

Chase didn't have school yesterday (in service day) so I thought today was Monday! Oops! Sorry about that...here's the tip of the week:
When coloring with markers, don’t push down on the tip. Be gentle! Your markers will last longer.
Happy Stamping!
