OnStage Make & Take Sailing Home

This is my favorite of the Make & Takes from OnStage last weekend. Because we aren't going to have the Big Shot in the new catalog, we didn't do any die-cutting at OnStage. They had a punch to use for the verse and the rest was just stamped. I decided to wait until I got my stamp set and dies from my pre-order (one of the perks of being a demonstrator and going to OnStage!) to make it the way it was originally. And yes, I did 2 Day Air shipping on my order! Shh! Don't tell John! ;)

Stamp Set: Sailing Home

Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper, Night Of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine, Sail Away Trinkets, Note Cards & Envelopes, Watercolor Paper, AquaPainter, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Colors: Crumb Cake, Night Of Navy, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Whisper White

OnStage Minneapolis

I went to Stampin' Up!'s OnStage last weekend in Minneapolis with about 1500 of my closest friends!

Here's a small portion of the room from our table

We always have fun when we get together! Maybe a little too much fun! This was in the morning in the parking garage. That's me on the luggage cart! Sandy offered me a ride back to the door and I couldn't say no.

Deb always has her nails done, but she had them done really special for the weekend!

Stampin' Up! gives us each a bag (different every time!) full of goodies!
The new catalog, stamp set, notebook, file folders, clip board, and pens, which I forgot to grab so they're in the next picture. We all got a stamp set for a door prize and a pack of new Designer Series Paper, too!

After we were done with the Make & Takes, we got to divide up the supplies we used! This is what I got, plus the pens I forgot to put in the previous picture.

These are all the swaps I received!

The next OnStage is in November. The live event is in Germany (it was in New Zealand last week!), but there will be four locals in the US. The closest one is in Michigan. Not sure which one I want to go to yet...

If you'd like to join us for all this fun, sign up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! I would love to welcome you to my team and share all the experiences we have with this awesome company!

2018-2019 Annual Catalog & 2019 Occasions Catalog Retiring Lists

Stampin' Up! has published the Retiring List!
Here are the links for the PDF files (below each catalog picture):

All retiring items are only available while supplies last and will be discontinued after June 3rd.

Due to high demand for retiring stamp sets, they will have guaranteed availability until May 24th; all other products are not guaranteed and are available while supplies last only.

Wood-Mount stamp sets are going away completely (except for background stamps) and Clear-Mount stamp sets will be changing over to Cling stamp sets. Many of the stamp sets that are being retired are actually being changed over and are not going away!

Bundles are only available for the catalog they are published in- the items may still be available in a future catalog but the bundle pricing will not.

You can contact me to order, but I can't guarantee things won't sell out below I get an order placed. Your best bet is to go to my Online Store and place your order there. If an item isn't shown, it's sold out.

Happy Stamping and Shopping!

Lovely As A Tree Is Retiring!

OnStage was awesome! I'll be sharing more pictures soon. But first I had to share one of the biggest announcements...Lovely As A Tree is retiring! It has been in the Stampin' Up! catalog since 2001!

The Retiring List will be announced this afternoon. I'll post it here as soon as I can. Until then, let me know how you feel about Lovely As A Tree retiring! I'm quite surprised and a little bit sad!

Sarah's Little Elephant Amazing Life Birthday Cheer

Chase's fiance Sarah just had a birthday this week. She loves elephants and her favorite color is purple, so this is the card I made for her:

Since I was able to hand deliver it, I did two layers of Dimensionals! No worries about extra postage because it was too thick or heavy.

Check Out My Storage By Stampin' Up!

My new Storage by Stampin' Up! came last night! Woohoo! I'm really impressed with it! Well made, well packaged, and perfect for our supplies! I must admit I already have an ink pad storage unit that I really like (it holds my old and new pads) so I won't be switching for awhile. I ended up ordering one of each piece so I could check them out.

The top left unit is the Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays. They come as a set of 5 trays. I have the new style In Color ink pads and markers in it.
The bottom left unit is the Open Storage Cube. I have the old style In Color ink pads and the markers in their storage case in it.
The old style pads kind of fit into the ink pad holder, but they are slightly too tall so it's a tight fit and the trays don't stay connected like they're supposed to. You're better off with the open storage cube.
On the top is the Storage Lid. It's a nice way to finish it off and you could always set something on top of it.

The bottom right unit is the Stampin' Blends Storage Trays. They also come as a set of 5.
On top of the that is the Storage Topper. I have 10 ink refills in it and there's room for up to 20.

A view from above

I love the Stampin' Up! logo on the Storage Topper!

If you're looking for storage for your stamping supplies, this may be just what you're looking for! And the fact that it's modular means you can always rearrange and add more if needed!

Big News About The Big Shot & Stampin' Trimmer

The official Retiring List will be released Monday afternoon, but Stampin' Up! has told us about two big items will be retiring...the Big Shot and the Stampin' Trimmer! At first I was surprised, but now I'm actually looking forward to the changes.

Big Shot

We are making some big changes to our die-cutting and embossing product line that will give us a better opportunity to support the long-term vision we have for the line. While we’ve worked with our current supplier for many years, we’ve had the opportunity to reassess this relationship. After extensive research, feedback, and evaluation, we’ve decided to move in a new direction and we’re optimistic about this new course.

Innovation requires risk, and in our pursuit of a better overall die-cutting and embossing product line, we’re experiencing more significant challenges than we originally planned for, including some transition issues like the die inventory problems we experienced beginning in March. The challenges we are facing moving forward are not insurmountable, but they are taking time to resolve. Because of these setbacks, we will not offer a die-cutting & embossing machine in the 2019–2020 annual catalog. We want to make sure that what we offer is high quality, thoroughly considered, and dependable product; we want to take the time to get it right rather than rush something to market.

However, we will offer new dies and embossing folders in the 2019–2020 annual catalog. Since we’re using a new supplier, the dies and folders will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use the new style of dies and folders will be a little different than how you used the old style. Both the new-style and old-style dies and embossing folders can work with any die-cutting & embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required because the gap between rollers on machines may vary slightly between manufacturers).

One of the significant factors in this decision is that instead of working with a supplier who works with a manufacturer, we are moving to a direct-to-manufacturer relationship. This means that we will work directly with the factories who manufacture our dies and folders instead of working with another company who then works with different factories. This gives us greater control and potential in the manufacturing process.

Stampin' Trimmer
We have decided to retire the Stampin’ Trimmer as of June 3, 2019, including all accessories—replacement cutting blades, scoring blades, and cutting mats. We’ve experienced challenges with our supplier and are taking the opportunity to research and explore a replacement option for this product, which will not be the same as the current Stampin’ Trimmer. There will be a gap in time between when the current Stampin’ Trimmer retires and when a new product becomes available, but we do not currently have an estimated timeframe. Once we feel confident in the new offering, we will communicate more details about the new product.

When the retiring list goes live on April 15, the order limit for the blades will increase from three to six (and the limit will remain at six until they’re no longer available). We will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier. Throughout these months, we anticipate times when the blades will not be orderable (and not offered as a backorder). During those downtimes, you will have the option to enter an email address to receive notification when the blades are available again.

Whew! That's a lot of information, but I wanted you all to know what's happening with these items. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them or will find the answers.
