Hug In A Mug Swap

For my second card for the Stamp Share For Leaders Holiday Catalog swap, I used Hug In A Mug. I don't drink coffee, but I LOVE hot chocolate, so this set was on the top of my list for my first order from the Holiday Catalog! But the guidelines for the swap say we need at least two layers and two accessories. There's nothing in the catalog to coordinate with the set, so what was I going to do? I made my own Designer Series Paper! Just the small strip of stamped images adds so much to this card!

Because I have a little (OK, probably a lot!) OCD, I wanted to make sure all of the strips were lined up and in the same spot for each of my swaps. I have a 6" ruler that is 1" wide, so I put that at the top of the card, then attached the cardstock strip.

This made sure each strip was 1" from the top of the card.

Then I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool upside down so I could put the card in the corner and line up the stamped strip.

Here are all the cards together. The strips are consistent!

The card bases are 5 1/4 x 8", then I attached them to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Colors: Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Here's my first version with a really small layer of Pink Pirouette. Also cute, but too feminine? And it didn't show up well. I decided to use a brighter color and the Starburst Punch instead.
