I had so much fun making the cards I shared yesterday, but decided they were a little too putzy to make for our October Stamp Share swap. So I did basically the same idea but without cutting the layers/leaves in half. I think these look really cool too! And much easier!
The two versions side by side:
Colors: Basic White, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Old Olive
This is how I cut the Two-Tone cardstock, which is 12x12". I put the little 3/4" strips inside the cards with that background. I thought it looked cool seeing all the pieces together after they were cut and the backgrounds were embossed.
I used a sanding block on the embossed Two-Tone cardstock to let the white core show through a little.
