I've seen several versions of the Faux Shutter Card and decided to make one for our July Stamp Share swap. I used the Online Exclusive Trucking Along stamp set. I was going to use the punch, but it was just a little bit too big for my square. So I stamped and colored the packages with Stampin' Blends. I wanted to show that they aren't just for Christmas! I've got pictures of how I made the card after the supplies...
Colors: Basic Black, Basic White, Boho Blue, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Smoky Slate
This is how I made my cards:
I attached the square cut with the Stylish Shapes die at an angle
I added 1/4" strips of Basic Black card stock around the square, letting the first one hang off the card layer, then starting the next one against it
I repeated that until I had strips on all four sides
Then I trimmed the ends off so they were even with the layer. Easy, peasy!
