The Stamp Share For Leaders group had a meeting in January. There were lots of stamping demos, business talk, sharing, a Make & Take project (I'll be sharing that soon!), and a swap. This is the card I made:
Colors: Basic Black, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
This was my first attempt, but we don't have Crushed Curry Stampin' Blends so I decided the car needed to be a different color:
So I tried Pumpkin Pie, thinking it would be similar to Hemi Orange. But then it looked funny with the big red heart, so I used the heart die that embosses:
I didn't like that either, so instead of using the colorful side of the Designer Series Paper, I flipped it over to the gray/black pattern. Then I went with one of my favorite color combinations- red, black, and white, with a little gray thrown in.
Almost there! It just needed the heart frame to add some more color. And like my friend Amy said, it looks like the car is driving through the heart on my final card. Sometimes it takes several tries to get a card just right!
And just for fun, here's a picture of the 58 cars I stamped, die cut, and colored! Thanks to my son Chase who helped me with how to color the front end so it was correct. He told me to Google a 68 Mustang to see how the grill looked with the double headlights.
If you have a car enthusiast in your life, you need this bundle!
