Have you seen the new Embossing Mats in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog? They don't look like much in the picture, but wait until you see what they can do!

These are the leaves from Nature's Roots that are designed to emboss. There are also dies to cut out the leaves. You want to cut them first, then emboss. You'll lose the detail if you emboss and then cut.
This is a die from the Animal Friends Thinlits. The top piece shows how it cuts, but the bottom piece is embossing with it. Isn't that cool? The Embossing Mats make your dies do double duty!
I decided to step it up a notch and embossed the Detailed Floral Thinlits and made this card to show everyone:
