Alicia

My niece/goddaughter Alicia passed away on April 25th. She had been healthy, other than she fell on the stairs in early March and broke her ankle. She ended up having surgery to put in two plates about a week later. The morning of the 25th she had breakfast and went back to bed to watch a movie. My sister was getting her settled when suddenly she had a seizure. They ended up calling an ambulance and when she arrived at the hospital she coded. That happened five times, then they flew her to a larger hospital. I ended up driving my parents there and a few minutes after we arrived outside her room, she coded again. It was too much strain on her heart and it gave out. She was 24.

Alicia loved animals! Here she is at a friend's farm with a bunny. She spent lots of time there with their mini horse, brushing and feeding him and taking him for walks. She was pretty quiet, but she let you know when she liked (or didn't like!) something! She loved ketchup with most meals and would use a spoon to eat it if there was some left on her plate after the rest of the food was gone. We put some ketchup packets in her casket at the funeral so she would have some with her.

Darla and I made some thank you's for Danielle and Lenny. These were my first batch. Alicia liked bright colors. It's so hard to believe she's gone! We miss you Alicia!

Colors: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White
