Woodland Embossing Folder - Bad News and Good News!

I didn't get a chance to play with the Woodland Embossing Folder much. It seems like every time I wanted to use it for a class it was on backorder! Stampin' Up! said it was way more popular than they anticipated and they couldn't keep up with the demand. It is on the Retiring List for the Holiday Catalog and is SOLD OUT, but...

The Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item 139673) has been so popular that we are going to do something that we don't normally do: we've decided to bring it back in the 2016 annual catalog! While bringing an item out of retirement is not something we generally do, we just couldn't ignore the fact that you sold so many of these embossing folders!

Yay, Stampin' Up!

Here are some cards I made with the folder:

Colors: first 3 cards- Garden Green, Soft Sky, Whisper White
last card- Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White

For the first 3 cards, I inked the embossing folder with Soft Sky ink, then stamped the trees right on the embossing folder. I put the white card stock in the folder and ran it through the Big Shot, so it ended up embossed and stamped all at once. I trimmed them just a little bit smaller each time so more of the green background of the card base would show. I couldn't decide which one I liked best! I added a greeting on a banner and that was it! All 3 of them sold at a craft sale very quickly!

I ran the Crumb Cake card stock through the embossing folder for the last card and then sponged white ink onto the trees. Added the red bird and the greeting on a banner. It sold right away too!

I can't wait for this folder to come back so I can use it in a class!
