I finally had some time to play with my new Blendabilities Markers. They are alcohol ink and will be in the new 2014-2015 Catalog. Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are able to order some of the colors early (one of the perks of being a demonstrator!) so we can learn how to use them. They are fun! Here's my first attempt at using them:
Stamp: Vivid Vases
Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Blendabilities Markers, Hexagon Punch (to cut ends of banner)
I have to admit that this layout happened by accident. I stamped the Vivid Vases twice on a scrap piece of Whisper White- 1 at the bottom and 1 at the top with the flowers in the middle. Of course they ended up too close together to be able to cut the piece in half! So I decided to save this one and cut into the other image, which meant part of the blue flower from the other image is at the top of this one. I cut the words off the bottom, layered them on a banner and put it across the extra flower to hide it! And all the pieces of card stock were in my scrap box. Woohoo! Using it up!
The Blendabilities Markers come as 3 markers per color (light, medium, and dark) for $11.95. There are 12 colors and a Skin Tone Assortment (which has 6 markers and is $22.95). There is also a new black ink pad and a Color Lifter. The new catalog starts June 2nd, but the markers won't be ready to order right away. Stampin' Up! wants to make sure they have enough inventory so they don't end up backordered. I can't wait to get more colors!
