Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit Cards

Have you seen the Thankful Tablescape Kit in the Holiday Catalog? It has some interesting pieces in it, but what if you really don't want to make the napkin holders and other suggested pieces? I decided to come up with some cards instead for my August Stamp-A-Stack:

Something different and very cool, I think! And everyone at the Stamp-A-Stack seemed to like them, even though there is no stamping on them. This is how I made them...

The napkin holders look like this when you take them out of the package:

This is the other side:

Unfolded:

Start by cutting it apart:

Let's start with the larger piece- cut off the sides to make it 5 1/2" wide:

Cut again to make it 8 1/4" long, which is just inside the next score line:

This piece is already scored at 3 1/4". Add another score line 3/4" from the other end:

Fold the larger side over:

Then fold the small piece to create the card base:

My finished card. The scalloped edge brown piece overlaps the little folded dlap on the bottom:

The inside:

Now for the smaller piece from the original napkin holder...

One end has rounded corners, round the corners on the other end:

Score at 4":

Fold card base, fold printed piece:

Wrap printed piece around card base, making sure it is centered:

Fold small end of printed piece up and into card base, attach with adhesive:

My finished card:

Stamps: none

Colors: Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango

Accessories: Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit (napkin holders, belly bands, Chocolate Chip paper ribbon, Birch paper ribbon, die-cut printed leaves), Expressions Thinlits Die, Scallop Edge Border punch

I attched the "Thankful" die cut with the 2-Way Glue Pen. For everything else I used SNAIL.

Now I need to come up with projects for the other parts of the kit!
