Standard card base- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold. Open up again, cut at 1 1/2" down to the fold. Flip over and repeat for the other side. Then score the middle piece in half (2 1/8").
Fold the side flaps down and adhere
Fold the center flap in half
I added a layer of Crumb Cake in between the adhered flaps- 2 1/2 x 4 1/4"
Attach Designer Series Paper to the side flaps
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that goes on the top of the center flap is 2 x 4"- it needs to be cut in half so it's not covering the fold on the flap. Make sure your design lines up when you adhere it!
Top piece of DSP on the center flap
Bottom piece of DSP on the center flap
Add a small piece (3/4 x 2") of the DSP on the card base to hold the center flap open. Then attach the die cut focal piece. Make sure you only put adhesive on the bottom of it so the top can stick up when the easel is open!
The second card from the August Stamp-A-Stack uses a stamp set and matching thinlits that were in the Occasions Catalog and carried over to the new 2017-18 Annual Catalog. Good thing, because I never used them until now! So many stamps, so little time!
The August Stamp-A-Stack was on Saturday the 19th. The first card uses the ever popular Daisy Delight Bundle! This was CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything!) from Mary B. I changed the color of the card base and made two versions:
Our group of demonstrators gets together once a month for "Stamp Share" and we always have a swap. This is the card I made for July, but since the Daisy punch was on backorder I decided to save my cards for August. This has been such a popular bundle! The punch has been on backorder twice already!
I didn't have enough of that sheet of Designer Series Paper, so I also made some with this one:
Colors: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pool Party, Whisper White
I used retired Filter Paper to make the daisies, but you could use coffee filters, vellum, or even tissue paper. I found doubling the filter paper and putting it on top of scrap paper (I used the cards that come in magazines to subscribe or buy products) made it easier to punch, otherwise it was too flimsy and would tear.
At our monthly Stamp Share, we take turns doing demonstrations and make & takes. I signed up to do a make & take this month, and this is the project I came up with. I wanted everyone to have one of the cute new pizza boxes that are in the Holiday Catalog, along with a 3 x 3" note card to put inside. I made two versions for my samples.
The adorable reindeer:
The darling snowman:
And the alternate design on the notecard inside:
