Dying Ribbon To Get The Color You Want

I was working on a card for the May Technique Training (see the Calendar of Events tab at the top of the page for more information on this class) and realized I didn't have any ribbon in the color I needed. So I made some! I took white ribbon and dipped it in a little bit of water and a few drops of Calypso Coral ink refill.

I put a strip of Calypso Coral next to the ribbons so you can see it's not as dark, but definitely a lighter shade of it. I tried dipping one again to see if it would get darker, but I didn't notice any difference. Next time I would put more ink refill in the water. I used 3 drops for these. You can see in the top picture that the water doesn't completely cover the bottom of the little bowl I used.
