Work Of Art Flower Swap

The Stamp Share For Leaders group is having a pizza party swap tonight. Instead of driving over an hour one way and staying up past my bedtime, I mailed my cards. Here is the first one, CASE'd from Connie B:

Stamps: Work of Art (new!)

Colors: Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black, Whisper White

Accessories: Thick Baker's Twine (new!), Rhinestones

This was the first version I did, which has the colors that Connie used on her card (Strawberry Slush instead of Crisp Cantaloupe for the flower and as the card base):

I really like her card, but decided I needed to change up the colors a little on mine so it wasn't exactly like hers!

I can't wait to get the cards back in the mail and go through them all! Have fun tonight ladies!

SNEAK PEAK! Work Of Art Note Cards In All Of The NEW In Colors!

It's time for some new In Colors! Here's a sneak peak of them, and a new stamp set, "Work Of Art". We made these at our last Stamp Share. A big thank you to Debbie for prepping everything for us!

Blackberry Bliss
A rich purple that is darker than Elegant Eggplant.

Hello Honey

An earthy yellow that is just a bit darker than Crushed Curry.

Lost Lagoon

An almost grayish blue, reminds me of the old Baja Breeze but darker.

Mossy Meadow

Brighter and deeper than Always Artichoke

Tangelo Twist

In between Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango

All of these cards are note cards and show the card stock, ink, and ribbon for the new In Colors. Everything will be available to order on June 2nd!

Stamp-A-Stack Pure Gumption Delightful Dozen My Digital Studio Congratulations Graduate

Hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Here is my last card from the May Stamp-A-Stack:

Stamps: Pure Gumption, Delightful Dozen (MDS)

Colors: Silver, Basic Black, Whisper White

Accessories: Silver Foil Sheets, My Digital Studio, Apothecary Accents, Starburst and Circle Framelits, 1 3/4" Circle Punch

Rather than stamping the greeting 10 times and trying to line them up with the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I used My Digital Studio to create the white layer so the greeting was printed. I trimmed them to the size we needed and it worked perfectly. The Apothecary Accents layer was too long as is, so I cut them apart and took out 1/2". Everyone used two pieces to make a new size layer. The seam is hidden behind the silver starburst. This can easily be changed to match school colors, but I went with black and white so it would work for everyone.

The next Stamp-a-Stack will be on Saturday June 21st. If you would like to join us, please sign up by June 18th so I can have all the supplies ready.

My second card for the Stamp-A-Stack:

My First Card Made With Blendabilities Markers

I finally had some time to play with my new Blendabilities Markers. They are alcohol ink and will be in the new 2014-2015 Catalog. Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are able to order some of the colors early (one of the perks of being a demonstrator!) so we can learn how to use them. They are fun! Here's my first attempt at using them:

Stamp: Vivid Vases

Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White

Accessories: Blendabilities Markers, Hexagon Punch (to cut ends of banner)

I have to admit that this layout happened by accident. I stamped the Vivid Vases twice on a scrap piece of Whisper White- 1 at the bottom and 1 at the top with the flowers in the middle. Of course they ended up too close together to be able to cut the piece in half! So I decided to save this one and cut into the other image, which meant part of the blue flower from the other image is at the top of this one. I cut the words off the bottom, layered them on a banner and put it across the extra flower to hide it! And all the pieces of card stock were in my scrap box. Woohoo! Using it up!

The Blendabilities Markers come as 3 markers per color (light, medium, and dark) for $11.95. There are 12 colors and a Skin Tone Assortment (which has 6 markers and is $22.95). There is also a new black ink pad and a Color Lifter. The new catalog starts June 2nd, but the markers won't be ready to order right away. Stampin' Up! wants to make sure they have enough inventory so they don't end up backordered. I can't wait to get more colors!

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Life has been a little hectic around here so I haven't done any stamping lately. That means no cards to share. :(  But I will say Happy belated Mother's Day to all the Mom's! And share my cards from John and Chase:

They love being able to go into my boxes of cards to pick out what they need rather than going to a store and trying to find a card. I love their choices for Mother's Day! From John, "I think you're lovely" and from Chase, "thank you". Inside he wrote "for being my Mom. Happy Mother's Day". They gave me tokens for the new shooting range that just opened in Waite Park, Tactical Advantage. John bought me a gun for Christmas but I haven't even shot it yet, so maybe now I'll get the chance. Thanks guys!

Don't forget- there are only 3 weeks left to order from the 2013-2014 Catalog! Lots of stamps and accessories have sold out already. If there is something you want, don't wait- order today!

It's Been One Of Those Mornings!

So my printer needed more black ink. I replaced the cartridge last night and this morning when I printed, I got a blank page. What the heck? I opened up the little door where the ink goes, pulled the cartridge out and got black ink all over my hands and the table. Then I happened to look under the printer and found this nice puddle of ink:

And this is what my hands look like after cleaning it all up:

I think the whole cartridge leaked out overnight. What a mess!
So that's how my morning has been!

Don't forget to order stamps and accessories
that are being retired before they're gone!

Get ready for a scrapbooking revolution with Project Life! It helps busy people (so basically all of us) document life using photos and journaling in a quick, simple, and fabulous way. We've partnered with Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, to offer a complete line of elite products.

Becky explains, "It's called Project LIFE because it's about YOUR LIFE. Whatever your life is. Whatever your stage of life. Whatever your family circumstances. Whatever your lifestyle. Project Life is designed to help anyone and everyone get their pictures into a book."  In a nutshell, it's all about spending more time making memories and less time scrapbooking them.

Why this is such an awesome opportunity:

The first of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Project Life products are now available!

PROJECT LIFE Q&A

Overall Product Line Questions

Q. How does it work?
A. It couldn't be simpler: slip photos, mementos, and journaling into an album with Photo Pocket Pages. That alone will give you fabulous results (no scissors or glue required!); if you want to do more you can embellish your photos or cards with Project Life accessory packs or stamps. Our accessory packs are designed to coordinate perfectly with our card collections which makes stepping things up super simple.
Q. Who's it for?
A. We've all heard people say scrapbooking takes too much time. You've probably had that thought yourself a time or two. That's why Project Life works so well for all of us. It's quick and easy and has a fresh approach. And for those who don't do simple, you can embellish to your heart's content. So in a nutshell, Project Life is for everyone-the scrapbookologists, the timid, and the skeptical.
Q. How often will products be released?A. We will offer a complete line of Project Life products in our annual catalog. You may see other products released in seasonal catalogs or at other times throughout the year. We will also release digital Project Life products regularly.
Q. Are other Project Life products sold in retail stores?A. Yes; but the items Stampin' Up! will be offering are exclusive to us.
Q. Will Stampin' Up!'s Project Life products be sold in retail stores?A. No. Project Life by Stampin' Up! is sold exclusively through our demonstrators (with digital content being the exception).
Q. Where will the digital Project Life products be offered? A. They'll be offered on our website and they'll also be available on Becky Higgins' website. This will help expose Stampin' Up! to a whole new audience!
Q. Are Project Life products sold through other direct sales companies?A. Nope! We are the only direct selling company partnering with Becky Higgins to offer Project Life.

Product-Based Questions

Q: Will Stampin' Up! be offering albums as part of the Project Life product line?A: Yes, we do plan to offer albums as part of the product line as they are a key component to this type of memory keeping system. Recent quality issues have forced us to delay the launch of our 12"x 12" Project Life album, but we are continuing to work with our manufacturer to ensure you receive a high quality product when the album is released. Please watch for further updates, as they should be available soon.
Q. What are the label sheets in the card packs for?A. You can use the first sheet to label the box (just wrap it around the box base). You can use the second sheet to label the top lid, which works great if you're going to store it in a drawer. Watch our Project Life videos to learn more about the storage system.
Q. Is the radius of the Project Life Corner Punch the same as the Becky Higgins' Project Life rounded corners? A. Yes
Q. Is the Project Life Corner Punch different than the 3/16" Corner Punch from the 2013-2014 annual catalog?A. Yes
Q. Why is there extra space in the card collection boxes?A. They serve as a storage solution for adding photos or other Project Life items you want to keep organized.
Q. Why aren't the corners of the cards rounded like traditional Project Life cards?A. We wanted to provide you with versatility; through focus groups we learned that people like the option of square or rounded corners. The corner punch allows you to choose either square or rounded corners or even to mix and match!  For the fastest option, pair square cards with square corner photos so they match up perfectly.
