Presto Patterns Specialty Paper

I bought the Presto Patterns Specialty Paper right away when it came out, looked at it, and set it aside, thinking I would save it for something special. I forgot I had it until I saw it on the list of accessories to be discontinued! So I decided it was time to use it and made this card for the Stamp-A-Stack. The description in the catalog reads "Actual paper appears white with white glossy designs you reveal with ink or paint for an emboss resist look." I used a brayer and Certainly Celery ink on the Decorative Label punched piece for these cards. It's hard to see in the picture, but I layered a piece of textured Whisper White cardstock on the smooth Whisper White cardstock base. The wing on the Marina Mist bird is folded so it sticks out away from the body. The Daffodil Delight flower (from the Boho Blossoms punch) has a large rhinestone in the center and the petals are folded up to add dimension. The greeting, from Teeny Tiny Wishes of course, is stamped in Early Espresso. There's a lot going on with this simple layout!

Today is the last day to order from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog! Make sure you get your order placed so you don't miss out on any of the stamps and accessories that are retiring! You can call or e-mail me with your order, or place an order thru my website: www.denalenneman.stampinup.net.

Fun & Fast Notes, Pun Fun & Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper

More cards from the Stamp-A-Stack, made with more stamps and designer series paper I'm going to miss! I used stamps from Fun & Fast Notes and Pun Fun for these since they are similar. I stamped them with Soft Suede and colored with markers. The colors came from the Elegant Soiree paper: Baja Breeze, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. Two of the ribbons were discontinued (Gray Taffeta and Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain, which I have the backside showing), the other is Baja Breeze Seam Binding. another simple layout that can be used for many stamps and occasions!

Flowers For All Seasons

I'm going to miss this little stamp set! I didn't use it a lot, but it was one that always seemed to work if I couldn't find anything specific. These cards from the Stamp-A-Stack are very simple and could easily be used with other small stamps. Colors are Daffodil Delight, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi. The images were stamped in black, colored with markers and punched with the 1 3/4" Circle punch. The border is the Scallop Edge Border punch. The greetings are from the All Holidays stamp set, which is also retiring.

Animal Stories Baby Cards

Sorry I didn't get this posted on Friday- it has been a very busy weekend! John's parents sold their house and are moving into a patio home. We helped them with moving the big stuff.

Animal Stories is another set that is on the retiring list. I thought it would make some cute baby cards. Here they are in So Saffron, Pretty In Pink, and Bashful Blue, all with Chocolate Chip and coordinating ribbons (which are all discontinued- sorry!). I used the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder as well.

Don't forget to order stamp sets and accessories that will be retiring before June 30th!

Retirement Open House @ the Building Wednesday the 29th, 4-8pm!

The new catalog starts on July 1st!

Good Bye Stamp-A-Stack Cards

Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately. School is out but I seem busier than ever- there's always something going on or somewhere to go. I'll try to post things as often as I can, but we'll see what happens...

The June Stamp-A-Stack was last Saturday. All of the cards used products that will be retiring at the end of June. If you see something you like, order before it's gone! You can contact me directly or place an order online @ http://www.denalenneman.stampinup.net/.

The first set of cards uses the stamp set Matchbox Messages and the DSP Sunny Garden. They are both retiring. The colors used are Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait. These In Colors will still be around for another year and will be joined by 5 brand new In Colors in July!

We also used the Two Tags die, Scalloped Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punches. The brads are regular colors that coordinated with the In Colors: Old Olive and More Mustard. It's covered up by the front cards, but the card on the left has an In Color Glimmer Brad on it.

Check back for more cards tomorrow...

My Niece's College Graduation

My niece graduated from the University of MN recently. Her family had a party for her last Saturday. This is the card I made for her:

There have been several versions of this floating around the web and this is my version. The U of M colors are maroon and gold, so I used Daffodil Delight and Bravo Burgundy. The "neck" is Blushing Bride. It's hard to see in the picture, but there is a collar on the "shirt" made with the Eyelet Border Punch. I sponged Bravo Burgundy ink on the "hat" to make it stand out from the main part of the card. The "tassel" is Daffodil Delight 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. If you pick it apart carefully it will unravel, but only 1 end works. Cut your ribbon longer than you need and try both ends to see which works, then trim to fit your project. The greeting is from Word Play.

Congratulations Lindsey! We're proud of you!
